The Vegetable Garden
The extensive Vegetable Garden provides much of the produce used in our kitchen.
There are five natural greenhouses in the garden, four of which house vegetables and one where flowers are grown.
A variety of young trees have been planted including peaches, apples, quince, elderberry and cherry trees (capuli).
Exotic passion fruit, cape gooseberries, strawberries and raspberries are dotted throughout the Vegetable Garden. There is also a prickly pear field. |
In the Vegetable Garden, you may choose the contents of a fresh salad or the accompanying vegetables for your evening meal directly from the ground. The vegetable crops grown on the farm include:
- Swiss Chard
- Rocket (arugula)
- Cucumber
- Brussel Sprouts
- Leek
- Potatoes
- Corn
- Green Peas
- Lima Beans
- Alfalfa
- Tomatoes
- Peppers
- Aubergine
