Enjoy the full experience of the Colca Canyon exploring on horse back, taking in photography trips, seeing the condors and indulging in the luxury of our Spa.
1st Day
After the beautiful drive to Colca we recommend that you let us spoil you. After being shown to your Casita and unpacking, we recommend a trip to our Spa we you can unwind and acclimatise before dinner from our restaurant. Which serves tantalising mix of Andean and modern cuisine created using fresh produce from our farm.
2nd Day
Not to be missed is a trip to the Cruz del Condor, leaving at 6:30am the bus arrives at Cruz del Condor to see the birds rising on the warm currents.
After an hour watching the condor hike to Priests Cross and a ride to the volcanic crater.
45 minute hike passing cactus forests and the magnificent sight of the lagoon.
Brunch is then served.
Return by bus – to the resort and enjoy a relaxing walk around the herb gardens or explore our farm.
Or more adventurous we offer a 4 hour trek in the wonderful Sabancaya ravine returning to Colca Canyon by 17:00. For a relaxing dip in your private plunge pool and dinner.
3rd Day
On the third day we recommend you take it easy with a day spent in and around the resort exploring the area around our grounds, with our herb garden and our domesticated Alpacas
In the Evening we would like to treat you to something special, a clear view of the night sky. Colca Canyon is completely free of light pollution and the view of the stars is unrivalled. The combination of stars and the peace of the Colca Canyon is truly magical, and of course we will be on hand to provide hot chocolate and blankets should you need it.
4th Day
A meander through the Colca Canyon on the unique Peruvian Paso horse is not to be missed, this beautiful bred of horse that is chosen for its smooth ride and acclimatisation to the Andean climate.
At 09.00 guests depart Las Casitas del Colca on horseback and take the old road to Yanque. The route crosses the Cervantes Bridge on the way to Ichupampa, visiting Lagunilla. At Lagunilla the horses are left to rest while guests return to the Las Casitas del Colca in a vehicle. Guests who would prefer to go to Uyu Uyu on the ride can request this in advance.
On your return treat yourself to a visit to our spa specially created to relax and sooth any aches and pains.
5th Day
There is no better way to explore the Colca Canyon and to truly get to know the landscape than by taking in one of our painting or photography expeditions.
Guests are given all the equipment they would need – including a wonderful Andean packed lunch before being told the best spots from which to capture the awe inspiring landscape.
6th Day
On the 6th day we recommend that guest relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of thier surroundings, indulging in our spa treatments and immersing themselves in the natural beauty of the Andean landscape before a wonderful dinner in the restaurant.
