Colca Canyon, located in Southern Peru is one of the deepest canyons in the world at 10,725 ft and runs a distance of over 100 kilometres.  The Colca Canyon is made even more remarkable as it sits high in the Andes, 3260 metres above sea level. 

Las Casitas del Colca is a twenty four hectare property in the Canyon, situated on the left bank of the Colca River.

The property is one hundred miles north of Arequipa, the 'white city'.  Situated close to the colonial village of Yanque and just five miles from the village of Chivay.

Flight times to Arequipa are detailed below:
Lima:        70 minutes
Cusco:      80 minutes 
Juliaca:     25 minutes

Transfers:

Las Casitas del Colca can organise a transfer from the airport with one of our recommended drivers and guides at an extra charge.

Transfers pass through the fascinating landscape of the Colca Canyon to Las Casitas del Colca.  Transfers take approximately three hours including a stop for refreshments at Pathuasi.

During the journey guests may also stop at Patapampa, the highest point of the journey 4960 metres above sea level and make an Apaichia (small pile of stones), as an offering to the Apus (mountains) for being so close to God. This is a fascinating spot with countless Apaichia already standing.
